Whenever I start to compare myself with someone else is when I need to hang up my hat! Since the age of 8, I have been cooking in a kitchen. Not only was that place my most “happy”place, but it always holds memories of food, love, and laughter.
While living in Barcelona, I was introduced to the many delicacies there from boquerones to churros con chocolate.
My career started in California more than 20 years ago where my grandmother who owned a small restaurant on Fountain Avenue in Los Angeles taught me hard work and ingredients plus execution will help you in a career as a chef. I have traveled and worked all over the world. My inspiration comes out of a love for seasonal cooking with the freshest ingredients to the cultural nuance of different regions.
